Autism Service Dog

Autism service dogs protect there handler from causing harm to themselves. Children with autism often experience sensory overload in different environments and can sometimes deal with their anxiety by hitting themselves. Autism service dogs are trained to sense a shift in mood or behavior. By pressing into the child or even laying on top of him or her, the dog's body weight acts as a stabilizing and calming force, distracting the autistic child from harming him or herself.
